How I was introduced to
I was introduced to syntphetic oil when I found someone who was selling a synthetic oil called Lifetime Synthetic Oil at a very high price. I later found out that this was Al's first attempt to sell Synthetic oil, and he thought he could sell it through normal retail outlets. Calling it synthetic probably made people skeptical that it wasn't as good as real oil, and the high price kept it from selling. Al was introduced to multi-level marketing by someone who believed in Al and his product.
When Al created his marketing program he changed the name to Amzoil and started to grow, and people started to accept the fact that it worked and was proven to work better than natural oil. One year I went to the Minnesota State Fair and found an Amzoil booth telling people about how much better Amzoil was for their vehicle. I met a dealer whose name was Earl Holdridge and signed up as a dealer. A few years later, Amzoil was sued over its logo by Pennzoil and the name changed to its present name Amsoil
